PE and Sports Funding

We recognise that physical activity has numerous benefits for children and young people’s physical health, as well as their mental wellbeing (increasing self-esteem and emotional wellbeing and lowering anxiety and depression), and that children who are physically active are happier, more resilient and more trusting of their peers.

The Butts Primary School prides itself on promoting a range of activities through the taught curriculum, extra-curricular activities and visits, which promote an active lifestyle. Our Primary PE and Sport Premium Funding enables us to continue and enhance our provision through the development of a varied and high-quality PE curriculum, a wider variety of opportunities for participation in competitive sport and extra-curricular activities.  The attached document explains how we have used our PE and Sport Premium Funding during the 2023-24 academic year.
