Illness Information
Measles
Measles is a highly infectious viral illness that is spread by coughs and sneezes. It can be serious and can cause complications, particularly in people with weakened immune systems, babies under 1 year old and pregnat women. There has been an increase in cases of Measles in England, largely due to a decline in uptake of the MMR vaccination since the start of the COVID19 pandemic.
